Classroom in$ormation as to here an% hen the !i"e #oint Rein$orcement #lan ill &e use%: The classroom in which the Five Point Reinforcement Plan will be used is a self%contained setting in which each student wor$s on their core classes through an online curriculum program $nown as E&'&'" Also, this classroom is a rather large setting that is divided up into three separate rooms that are all attached to each other, allowing each student to wor$ without being distracted or without distracting his or her classmates" (n this classroom, the five point reinforcement plan will be used throughout the day as each student is in the classroom for multiple consecutive periods and will need many reinforcements throughout the day due to the fact that being located in the same classroom for many class periods can play a huge role in a student)s willingness to wor$ and their overall attitude"

E.+lanation o$ Use o$ No"el 4++lication The behavior ( have decided to lin$ my novel reinforcement techni7ue to is that each student will avoid distracting his or her classmates while wor$ing" Each time ( notice the entire class is exhibiting this behavior9 the class will have earned one point" #nce the class ma$es it to C points, the class can either +cash in- their ten points to color in the a cardinal <school mascot>, or the class can vote to ta$e a chance with a spinner that will multiply their ten points by either ', B, &, D or 8" The goal is to get the cardinal colored all the way to the top, which is B'' points" An example of this would if the students decide to ta$e their chance with the spinner, then their C points could end up being ', C, B', BC or &' points that go toward filling out the entire cardinal" To ma$e the decision to ta$e the C points or to ta$e the chance with the spinner, the class must vote to decide" (f there is a tie, then one member from each group will get the opportunity to try and persuade the other group to come to their side" Also, if a group member is heard +bashing- or saying negative things about the other side or someone who won)t change their vote, then that team will lose one vote, ma$ing sure that each attempted persuasion maintains respect for the opposing viewpoint" #nce the entire cardinal has been colored in, the class will get to decide upon a date when there will be pi??a and a short movie as a reward for meeting the goal of B'' points" (nspiration for this novel reinforcement came from the following website/ http/==www"ttacnews"vcu"edu=&'B'='B=reinforcement%in%the%classroom%improves%student% motivation%and%performance= ATTA62 5ovel Application product" 6ardinal Picture ac7uired from/ http/==coloringpages8$ids"net=wp%content=gallery=cardinal% pictures=cardinalB'&"jpg
