Preview Film Screening - Art21 Presents: William Kentridge: Anything Is Possible


This is an hour-long film on the life and work of the South African artist William Kentridge by Art21, contemporary art and education organization and Peabody Award-winning producer of Art:21Art in the Twenty-First Century. The first Art21 film devoted to a single artist, this documentary provides a rare, intimate look at the creative process, political and artistic philosophies, and personal background of one of the most provocative and dynamic artists working today. World Premiere Film Screening: New School: A Hudson Valley Artists Profile"
A film by local filmmaker Ty Marshal featuring short interviews with over twenty emerging and established artists currently working and creating in the Hudson Valley. A number of the artists who appear in the film and the filmmaker will be at this event to meet the public. Beacon Art Salon TASK Party, with Special Guest Artist Oliver Herring
TASK is an improvisational interactive art-making and performance experience open to all event participants that requires no formal art training. Event goers can watch and/or participate in the TASK party. Post Event Discussion Topic: Art & Play, How important is play in your artwork and process?
All sessions and events are FREE & OPEN to artists and the public. Suggested donation $5.
