Zee Networks is a part of Essel Group. In 1992 Zee Entertainment Enterprise Ltd. Launched. Mr. SHUBHASH CHANDRA is Founder ,Chairman and MD of ZEEL. Mr. PUNIT GOENKA is a CEO of ZEEL. Zee TV is a Flagship channel of ZEEL. It is viewed by 500 million viewers in 120 countries. ZEE is the publicly listed company of Essel Group. 1992 : Launches Zee TV Initial Public Offering of Zee Telefilms Limited

1995: Commences Siticable operations Joint Venture with News Corp. Launches Zee News and Zee Cinema. Zee TV goes global - launches Zee TV, UK
1996: Starts first cable channel in India - Siti Channel. Launches Zee TV, Africa. 1997: Launches Zee Music (originally called Music Asia).

1998 Launches Zee TV in the US. Its fiction properties like Diya Aur Bati Hum, Teri Meri Love Story have seen dips in viewership. Finally , Zee got the Top Position, with Zee TV added 24 GRPs to its last weeks tally to end the week with 251 GRPs.
