SPECIFIC LESSON OBJECTIVE To creatively write an original urban legend which encompasses a moral or meaning. Write an urban legend that has correct narrative structure and incorporates certain narrative elements (setting, character and climax). Demonstrate descriptive writing in their urban legend.

ASSESSMENT (what & how) Creatively write an urban legend. Students will address purpose and incorporate descriptive language into their task. Students will examine narrative elements. Narrative elements explored will be incorporated into their urban legend.

TEACHING & LEARNING EXPERIENCES (include learner diversity) Topic: Horror Urban Legends. Create your own urban legend. Task 1: Students choose one of the beginning sentences provided and identify the purpose of their urban legend. Students decide what moral or meaning they want to attend to in their urban legend. Task 2: Students address three main elements explored in the previous lesson. (Setting, character, climax). Students attend to these three elements. Task 3: Once students have their narrative plan complete they will write their own urban legend using kid blog.

KEY QUESTIONS Are students able to correctly structure an urban legend? Are students able to identify given elements? And incorporate these elements into their writing? Can students demonstrate and establish moral and meaning through their creative writing? Can the student effectively use ICT?
