    Experiment 12 (b) SOIL RESISTIVITY MEASUREMENT

    OBJECTIVES: To measurement of soil resistivity as a function of salinity and time. Procedure: 1. Study the ASTM method of soil resistivity measurement 2. Fill the given soil box with soil. 3. Measure the resistivity using the circuit diagram shown in Figure.1

    Make salt solution of 5mg salt in 50ml distilled water. Wet the soil uniformly with 10ml solution. After 5 minutes, measure the soil resistivity as a function of time for 15 minutes Repeat steps 5, 6 at least five times. Plot the resistivity variation with salinity as a function of times.
