As a student in my education courses, I have found Taylor to be a dedicated learner with a keen interest in the teaching profession. I am impressed by Taylors commitment to education and see great promise in the contributions that he will make to the profession as a positive male role model for young learners. Taylor has completed a wide array of education classes focusing on the diverse needs of young learners. As a multiple license candidate, his coursework encompasses content and pedagogy for both typically developing children and children with disabilities. Taylor excels in the classroom as evidenced by his outstanding academic record. Taylor strives to not only know course content, but more importantly he desires to understand how to effectively apply course learning to meet the unique learning needs of young children. Taylor completed a number of field and clinical experiences in a variety of district settings. He has experienced both rural and urban school environments with diverse learners of varying abilities and needs. These experiences provided him with the opportunity to practice explicit instruction as well as a mix of coteaching and consultation designed to support typical learners, at-risk learners, and students with disabilities in inclusive settings. This combination of knowledge, skills, and experiences will undoubtedly enhance Taylors effectiveness as a future teacher. In addition to his studies, Taylor is an active member of several campus organizations. He is a member of the Alpha Phi Omega, a service fraternity and the Student National Education Association. Taylor also served as the Co-President for Kappa Delta Pi, an honors education group, and recently had the opportunity to serve as a presenter at the national conference in Dallas, Texas. Taylors commitment to community service and leadership are desirable traits for a future educator. Taylor has a number of strengths to offer the field of education. He is a caring and sincere person with a solid work ethic. Taylor is an organized, attentive individual who takes pride in his work and demonstrates a true desire to do a quality job. He consistently displays a willingness and interest in learning that enhances his success as an effective team member.
