Ralphys Rock Cycle Adventure Abby

Hi, my name is Ralphy. Gonna tell you my story, so here we go. One day a bit of magma was born. (Thats me.) I had no idea where I was or what I was, all I knew was that I was alive. I stayed in the volcano as magma for about 15 million years, but I was all alone, with nobody with me. But I had imaginary friends. I made up games with my imaginary friends. Hi Frank, how ya doin?!!!?!!? I even had an imaginary family. Hey, Bob are you coming to the family reunion? I heard the whole entire family is coming. I was a very happy bit of magma. But one day everything changed. Everything started to shake, and rumble, and I didnt know what is was. Whats happening to me? I said in a scared voice. Then someone said, Im about to erupt. Who said that? I did, Im the volcano. Oh well then everything is ok except for WHAT DOES ERUPT MEAN!!?! It means Im going to blow, the volcano explained. I did not know what any of that meant, so I thought that it was not that important. Until the shaking and rumbling got bigger! Ummmm what does blow mean? I said to the volcano. Then the volcano erupted.

Oh, well now I know what erupt and blow mean, I said sarcastically. Sorry kid, I just couldnt hold back, I heard the volcano say. Whatever, I said. Whats happening to me? Youre growing!!!!! Im WHAT ING G..R...O...W...I...N...G... What are these things coming out of me? I did not know what hands and feet are because I grew up with a volcano and imaginary friends. What do they do? As I flew out of the volcano, I found myself in something but didnt know what it was. Where am I? You are in a cloud. Who said that? I did, Im a cloud? Hi, whats your name? I asked. Frank. And yours? he replied. Ralphy. What are you? Whats a cloud, you dont know what a cloud is? he said in a shock. I dont know what a cloud is, didn't we just do that? Well, a cloud is rain that evaporated from the ground and formed me. Its called the water cycle. Whats a cycle? I asked

Ya know like the rock cycle, Frank replied Whats the rock cycle? You dont know what the rock cycle is? he said confused. No? Sorry but you pretty much are in the rock cycle. What do you mean? I said confused. Whats that noise? Thats the noise when its about to rain. Well, I think that means... Frank did not have enough time to finish his sentence before I went down like rain. I landed in a river with a lot of other rocks and pebbles that got there too. Everyone had a different story on how they got here and they were all very interesting. My favorite one was someone got kicked all the way here. I made a lot of new friends, I even met rocks that were named my imaginary friend and familys names. But after 9 million years I made a friend for life, his name was Larry. He was perfect in every way. And he was also 15,000,000,000 years old. Hi, Larry how are you doing? Me? he said. Yes, you, youre the only Larry here. No. Theres five. Larry, The only other rocks here besides you and me are named either Bob or Charlie or Pippy or Catie. Ok. maybe hes not the smartest, but hes the bestest friend Ive ever had.

I grew up there in the river and when everyone got bigger it got very tight. Everyone just lost it one day. Nobody could stand it, we were all getting mushed up into sedimentary rock. One day two big boulders came together and it was a very hot day. We all got mushed up into sedimentary rock. 10,000,000 years passed and our water home dried up. It was a very, very hot day outside, and school just got out so all the kids stepped in us. We all melted into one rock and became metamorphic. Then the wind pushed us to a volcano as magma. Here we go again, they all said.
