BANJO PATERSON'S EARLY LIFE


He was born on the 17th of February, 1864 in new south wales. In 1874 he was sent to grammar school where he shared the Sydney Knox prize with sir gorge rich.

he has a native wife rose Isabella daughter of Robert Barton.


He had 6 younger siblings named rose, Emily, Mary, Hamilton, Grace and Gwendolyn His children were Grace. She was born in 1904 and Hugh. Was born in 1906

WHAT BANJO DID


He contributed to many things like poet, solicitor, journalist, war correspondent and solicier

He started writing as a hobby because he wanted to write about the bush

WHY HE TOOK THIS PATH


he took this path because he enjoyed writing poems and also writing about the outback.

HOW HIS WORK HELPED AUSTRALIA/WORLD


His work helped Australia by his wonderful poems and music which helped people to understand more about Australian culture and Australias outback. His song waltzing matilda , snowy river and Black Swans Boots and Clancy of the Overflow.

HOW HE DIED
Paterson died of a heart attack in Sydney on 5 February 1941 aged 76.
