_____________________________________CHARACTERISATION____________________________________ This short story was written through the third person point of view. This can be seen through the frequent usage of phrases like the children, the father, and they. Written from the third person point of view, the narrator knows everything that has happened throughout the story, including what the characters are feeling and what they are about to do. The protagonist of this story is the children. They can be described as the dynamic character. At first, they were innocent but at the end, they became naughty. After multiple times being punished by their father for something they did not do, they built a snowman that actually condemned the three individuals. The father, the news agent, the Chairman of the Co-operative, and the President of the local National Council, are all stock characters. This is because all four of them have a clearly defined role as the story progress.

____________________________________LANGUAGE STYLE____________________________________ Very clear and simple dictions were used in writing this short story. However, little usage of heavy and complicated dictions can also be found. For example, words like impertinent, exasperating, subversive, and furtively. Other than that, dialogues were also used to show and visualise the interaction between characters and what they are feeling.
