Solutions to Climate Change

The Kyoto Protocol is an international agreement created under the UNFCOCC (United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change) binding obligations on industrialized countries to cut their emissions of green house gasses. The debate was based on the greenhouse emissions and avoiding dangerous climate change. Environment economists are critical to Kyoto Protocol since it is outweighing benefits, and could be optimistic and highly inequitable and inefficient due to greenhouse gas emissions. A carbon offset is a reduction in emissions of carbon dioxide or green house gases made in order to compensate or to offset an emission made somewhere else. It is mostly done through sponsoring activities or projects that increase carbon dioxide absorption such as forestation and reforestation. Scientific Researches show that emissions need to be reduced 80% by 2050 to stabilize our climate and prevent negative impacts.
