Not only do we provide supervision and safety for young children, but we also ensure high quality early childhood development and care. Part 2: Industry Analysis / Need A. Needs Assessment To see if there is a need for high quality child care in my area I will examine the U.S. Census data in St. Lawrence County. I will also contact the local resource and referral agency, St. Lawrence Child Care Council, Inc. With both of these inquiries I will know how many children are in the area, enrollment data, and the numbers of home- and center-based programs in the area.

B. Child Care Trends According to the U.S. Census Bureau, in 2000, 58.6 percent of married couples had both spouses working. There was an increased number of single parents that had work as well. With this being said, and given that these numbers have drastically increased over time; there is a strong need for high quality child care. (Click, Karkos, Robertson, 2011) High quality child care is extremely important for both the child and the parent. Parents want a child care that is dependable and safe for their child. A childs development requires high quality child care for their long-term effects. Children that have attended quality child care programs tend to have fewer behavioral problems, have stronger peer relationships, and increase their academic skills (Click, Karkos, Robertson, 2011). Over 6 million children under the age of 3 are cared for by someone else other than their parents, each day (Click, Karkos, Robertson, 2011). My center includes this age that has such a high need for. Staff in my program requires at least a 2 year degree in early childhood, giving them both experience and knowledge about young children. This will improve my child care and give children and parents the quality they deserve. Little Miracles Child Care offers a licensed facility that is appropriate for all children ages 6 weeks-4 years of age. Having a licensed child care ensures the quality and safety provided for the young children. The quality of our care provides children the readiness for schooling because 46 percent of kindergarten teachers have reported that their students are not school ready. This is said that it may affect their learning ability (St. Lawrence Child Care Council, Inc., 2012). Little Miracles ensures that your child will be ready.

Part 3: Organization

Part 4: Marketing

A. Marketing Plan Our program will be marketed in very inexpensive ways. I would rather spend generous amounts of money on materials for my children. I will advertise my program by handing out business cards and brochures, costing about $20. I will spread the word of my business by creating a program facebook. Most parents are often affiliated with facebook, therefore I can share my program website here. I will post flyers with my number attached. Tools: Bulletin Facebook Program Website Brochures Business Cards B. Originality Our program stands out from others because we accept children from 6 weekspreschool age. Little Miracles Child Care offers children the opportunity to have assistance and encouragement with their development. Not only do I enjoy seeing the children excel in their developmental process, but I enjoy being the person to have been their every step of the way. Little Miracles Child Care offers working parents the opportunity to send their child to a safe center to expand their social development. Our center encourages child friendly relationships. Little Miracles records every progress your child makes from beginning to finish. We also build partnerships with the families. Parents can give their preference for contact so they know where their child should be and what advancements their child has made. My center also has a sick center. If one child doesnt feel good and a parent really cant afford to take time off work, we have a designated area that child can go and rest.
