Nelsons Notes
I recently read an article titled, What Students Remember Most About Teachers. I found many points in the article very interesting. Here are a few key things I would like to express to you: o You are the difference in their lives. o Because we want our students to think were the very best at what we do and we believe that this status of excellence is achieved merely by doing. But we forget and often, excellence is more readily attained by being.

Coming Up:

Being Available - Being Kind - Being Compassionate Being Transparent - Being Real - Being Thoughtful - Being Ourselves
o o o o Its the relationships we build with them. Its the time we invest. Its all the little ways we stop and show concern. Its the love we share with them: of learning, of life, and most importantly, of people.

I challenge you to reflect on how you can apply these things in your classroom. Remember, you have the greatest impact on students and parents. YOU determine what they remember about you! Reminders: Lesson Frames are essential for student learning. Check your objective(s) daily to ensure that it is aligned with your TEKS and current instruction. Refer to your objective(s) during the lesson. All TPSP tasks should be completed by the grading cycles noted on the timeline. Also, make sure to keep student work for our TPSP/Think Tank showcase on March 6. Most Valuable Knight

Be sure to give a great big shout out to Mrs. Jessica Castillo, our BA ALE Paraprofessional and this weeks MVK! Lets read what you all had to say about Jessica

Jessica has been monumental in changing the environment in the BA ALE class. So often, others dont realize the work that goes into providing a quality education to students with learning disabilities. The dedication, strength and kindness that Jessica has shown for the kids in this classroom has made such a big difference in their lives. Jessica is constantly smiling and putting positive vibes in the air! We are so blessed to have her here at Kimberlin. Keep up the good work, Mrs. Castillo!
