I have the necessary skills and qualifications for this position, as well as the necessary experience. I hold a B.S degree in Sports Management with minors in education and coaching from Johnson C. Smith University, Charlotte, North Carolina. I have played football on the high school and collegiate levels and know the game very well. I am very dedicated and loyal to my work, I am confident I could contribute to the success of Castleton State. I am familiar with evaluating individuals, the recruitment process, scheduling games and training periods. I also understand the importance of closely monitoring grades to decide player eligibility and the guidelines established by the NCAA. I have experience in maintaining fitness, exercise equipment and uniforms, as well as in ordering new or replacement parts within budget when and if required. I have coached on the high school level previously at Lake Marion High School, Santee, South Carolina, as quarterback and wide receiver coach. I also implemented many offensive strategies to assist the program to reach high levels of success. Many of the student athletes I have coached at Lake Marion have gone on to play Division 1 football at major universities. I also fully understand the psychological and physical effect a coach can have on student athletes, and I strive to set excellent example for those student athletes that I interact with and those who are not athletes who see a coach as a positive role model. Head Men's Football Coach Castleton State College

Castleton State College is seeking applications for the position of Head Football Coach to coach the varsity sport of football at the college under the guidelines established by the NCAA, ECAC, and NAC including: recruiting student athletes, establishing practice schedules and holding practice sessions, scouting of opponents games, preparing for and coaching during games. To assist within the Athletics and Recreation Department as needed. This is a full-time position and is included in the VSC UP-PAT Bargaining Unit. Salary for this position is within the VSC Grade 12 salary range, plus excellent benefit package. Applications will be accepted until position is filled.
