The chemical process used in the separation of solvents into its specific components based upon the varying boiling point. The purification technique is ideal to separate components varying in boiling point by about 25 degree Celsius. Fractional distillation produces better result than the simple distillation process. The solvent mixture to be separated is heated at temperature of about 1112 degrees Fahrenheit / 600 degrees Celsius under high steam pressure. As the mixture boils it converts into gaseous form (vapor phase). The vapor enters into the fractioning column maintained at different temperature(hot at bottom, cool at top). Level of gas rises in the column.

The vapor starts cooling in the column The component with low boiling point cools at first and get collected at the top of the column while the component with highest boiling point collects at the bottom of the column The tray in the column collects the liquid fractions The collected liquid is further cooled, stored and transported to areas for further chemical processing
