Dear Eva Rose Scriven,

We are students from Southgate School currently studying Media Studies at A2

level. We are currently working towards our production coursework, which
consists of planning and creating a short film to a genre of our choice.
We are writing to you to ask for your consent, to have your child act within our
production.

We are conferring to complete a short film on a war period drama. The film is
based around 1940s evacuees. Your child will be one of the two main characters.
In order to create the film we have decided to have two siblings split at the
evacuation centre and therefore conferring to them going to separate families.
They write letters to one another describing what their life is like and what they
have to do throughout the day. Towards the end they run away with one another
to go back to their original home to find their mother, however, once they arrive
back in the central town of London the reality of the bombings becomes surreal
as there hometown has been destroyed and their house unrecognisable within
the stone and gravel. The daughter finds her teddy she had dropped at the train
station and goes over to grab it, revealing a hand on top of the gravel, she calls
her brother over and they move the stone which reveals their mother, who sadly
passes away in their sight.

We can produce a risk assessment for the property for your childs safety and
your records. The production will be exhibited in the Media awards that will be
held at Southgate school and to the OCR examining board.
We would appreciate it if you would allow us to have your child act within our
production coursework, please get back to us as soon as possible. For your
record we can also produce a letter explaining to you what we will want from
your child and the dates that we will need him/her.
