1: Introduction

The automatic gates are composed of 2 parts: An electronic part and a mechanic part
In our work, we went deeper into the electronic part because of our specialty: The SIN.
Firstly, we have researched the different components necessary for the execution of the
gates.
Secondly, we have created the electronic diagram of the circuit with the software Orcad
Capture. Then, we have organized the components on Orcad Layout.
And finally we will talk about the infrared sensor.
Now, we will talk about the components of the system.

2: Orcad Capture
The circuit is composed of: A LCD Screen to display the functioning state of the system; A
potentiometer for the screens contrast; 2 DB9 serial ports for the connections with the main
card; A connection with 3 ports for the captors receptor; A connection with 2 ports for the
captors emitter; A connection with 2 ports for the alimentation; A LED for indicate the
opening or the closure of the gates. A button for the request of opening a button for the
request of closure a button to simulate an obstacle on the gates 7 Resistors
Now Baptiste will talk about Orcad Layout

3: Orcad Layout
For Orcad layout, when we started the presentation, we didnt finish the Layout. Thats why
on the picture, the layout is not completed.
In Orcad layout, we find the components that Erwann has presented before, organized for
fabrication of the real card.
(Presentation)
4: Infrared Sensor
The infrared sensor is composed of 2 parts: An emitter and a receptor. In our project, we use
it to recognize an obstacle. The emitter led sends an infrared signal to the receptor. When
this signal is broken, the gates are stopped.

Unfortunately, we didnt have the time to make the Flowcode Program.

5: Conclusion
To conclude, we can say that we liked to work on this project, but we had some difficulties
with Orcad layout, but now, we know how to use this software.
