STUDY PLAN

For Postgraduate Scholarship Programme:


Research Masters and Doctoral Degrees
The study plan should be a maximum of 500 words and must include:
1. Background information on the proposed research
2. Objectives of the project and the approaches proposed to achieve the objectives
3. Experiments proposed and the results anticipated
4. Information on the significance and novelty of the proposed research
5. A research training plan (i.e. what new research techniques or new research
experience will you utilize in undertaking your proposed research project and how
will these develop your research capabilities)
6. Information on how the course of study relates to the existing and future
development needs of your institution, community and Trinidad and Tobago.
7. A description of how exposure gained from pursuing this course of study could
contribute to the development of the nation. Please indicate clearly where the
development need has been identified and outlined, in the national development
strategy.
8. Your five-year plan upon returning to Trinidad and Tobago.
Taught Masters Degrees
The study plan should be a maximum of 500 words and should include :
1. Information on why you would like to pursue the course of study which must include:
a. general expectations of the proposed programme of study
b. specific areas of study that interest you
c. specific courses and / or short projects you intend to pursue
d. relevant academic, research or practical experience you have
e. a description of how this course of study could help you achieve your career
goals
2. Information on your potential research project or potential research interests.
3. A description of how exposure gained from pursuing this course of study could
contribute to the development of the nation. Please indicate clearly where the
development need has been identified and outlined, in the national development
strategy.
4. Your five-year plan upon returning to Trinidad and Tobago.
