MAKE YOUR TEMPLATE INTO ISO DRAFT

In this guides, help you import your drawing into iso draft instead of using the default template PDMS.
For example:


I suppose PDMS installed into driver D:\aveva.
STEP 1: The drawing is a block and you have to explode it. Using autocad , import your drawing and type
command: explode. Choose your drawing to explode it
STEP 2: Limit your drawing. In auto cad, type command: limits . Choose area your drawing. This step is
so important. If you dont limit your area, PDMS will give you blank drawing.
STEP 3: Save your drawing as file name *.dxf . Save your file into directory
D:\AVEVA\Plant\PDMS12.0.SP4\Plot

STEP 4: Type Window+ R, Type CMD

Change this patch typing the follow command

STEP 5: The purpose of this step is convert file dxf to plt. Typing the command:
PLOT PDMS *.dxf *.plt (*: name file)

Before convert:

After convert:


NOTE: some times while covert, error occurs because missing 2 file *.dll . Copy 2 file *.dll into directory
STEP 6: Copy file *.plt into directory your project.

STEP 7: Logon PDMS module ISO DRAFT Choose options modify filename

In options file choose yourfile
This is your project

STEP 8: In File template sheet layout choose *.plt ( *: your file)

Click ok
