Notes on Overview of Course


It is important that with the introduction of a new course, the asic ideas, message, and
content in the workshops remain consistent! "t the same time, the framework eing
provided is open to change ased on #eader e$pertise, the format of the workshop (#ive or
on#ine), and the demographics of the participants! %ust as important as the consistenc& in
content is the f#e$ii#it& needed for d&namic #earning!
We wi## provide notes throughout the course suggesting presentation ideas and possi#e
changes, ut wi## start with some ovious areas of f#e$ii#it&!
Changes wi## need to e made in the transition from on#ine to face to face workshop''
suggestions wi## e made in re#ation to specific modu#es or activities
The #earning is meant to e interactive and to mode# est practice, so t&pes of
techno#og& used and t&pes of face'to face activities can change depending on #eader,
#earner, and environmenta# demands!

Communication detai#s and communication po#ic& can e modified to fit the needs of
workshop #eaders!
Though the assessment po#ic& is meant to e constructive, and f#e$i#e, workshop
#eaders ma& use the participation ruric for support or to guide the participants in
terms of course e$pectations!
