Minutes for board meeting of 04/30/2013 of the NWBOA

In attendance: Bill Kuerzi, Dave Reiter, Gary Nesvacil, Dave Gerletti, Mark Larkin and Al Liskunas

Meeting called to order by Dave Reiter at 9:10 PM est.
Reiter reflected on the National Tournament that was just concluded, no major complaints of
the officials were made known and all participants were very pleased with the overall
performance by the officials.

Reiter discussed proposing some key changes for next years tournament to the NWBA for
consideration. These ideas included, more ramps for players to enter and leave the courts,
increasing the number of officials to 42, having a supervisor of officials to help handle assigning,
evaluations and even working the celebrity game. Discussion to form a 5 man committee to
oversee all needs for next years tournament including presenting a budget for all expenses to
help the NWBA.

Since there was a very poor response to voting on changes to the by-laws, discussion on
changes would be tabled until next season.

Dave Reiter and Mike Woodard said they would work on the rules and procedures for
administering the test for next season.

An email will be sent to the general membership for voting this upcoming seasons board of the
NWBOA would be open from Wed. 05/01/2013 until Fri. 05/09/2013.
Dave Gerletti asked all board members to write a 75 word or less composition on how each
board member will help communication to the other board members and the general
membership.
Dave Gerletti announced summer board meetings would be held the 2

Tues. of the month
beginning at 8:00 PM est.
