Re: CUNY Law Blog
Cunylaw.blogspot.com
Dear Friends:
I write regarding the blog (www.cunylaw.blogspot.com) currently named the “CUNY Law
Blog” and its use of the CUNY School of Law logo.
The blog’s use of the name and logo foster the misimpression that it is sponsored,
‘maintained, or authorized by the Law School and/or the City University of New York. As a result,
‘we respectfully request that you change the name of this blog to clarify that the CUNY School of
Law does not sponsor or maintain the blog, We also request that the school’s logo be removed from
the blog. We have no objection to the blog being renamed the “CUNY Law Students’ Blog,” or
another name that clearly denominates the blog as a publication by students but does not suggest it
is officially maintained by the School.
We ask that the name change and logo removal be implemented on the blog within ten (10)
days of this letter. 1 invite the blog’s webmistress or webmaster to consult with me about a
proposed name. We are happy to discuss a name that will satisfy the blog organizers but is not
misleading.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
Sincerely,
ete
