Closing statement

As an early childhood student in early childhood education the positive growth I have
seen in myself as a professional, I have become more responsible, as well as self-steam.
Through early childhood major, I acquired how to communicate, collaborate, and share
ideas. Moreover, it helped me to understand children more and helps me as an educator
knowing each childs needs. I learned techniques and different types of activities
to establish a class which guide children in different learning style and enrich child
development domains. Furthermore, this major qualified me to understand children's
needs, characteristics, interests, and individual differences to design the developmental
activities and well-organized learning environment. In addition, I expanded my
knowledge in using observation as a tool to know developmental improvements and
delays and how to respond to those needs and, through observation I improve the quality
of my teaching. Also, I recognized through studying early childhood program the
significant of reading different theories to know childrens individual and improved
cognitive development and child achievement.
In field work, I realized my role as a teacher is to make prepared and enrichment
environment that raise childs curiosity to investigate, think and try new experience to
prepare them to educate throughout their life. In addition, I understand that children are
unique and i consider their individual development and needs as a teacher. Field work is
great chance to understand the personal values, beliefs, and perspectives in early
childhood and it helped to organize and plan work to be done effectively and to increase
self-awareness.
From this course, I learned how to build professional portfolio that reflect my five
years of studying at the university. Professional development gives me a chance to think
critically of who I am as a teacher and where I stand now. Moreover, it teaches me how
to think deeply on my teaching and life philosophy. Ultimately, my future goal as
educator in early childhood education is to raise my community awareness about the
importance of early childhood education. In addition, I am working on making a
collaborating team for all care centers in my town and enrich their teaching and thoughts
in teaching children.
