CONNECTION OF MECHANICAL EQUIPMENT

PART 1.00 – GENERAL:

1.01 WORK INCLUDED:

A. Connection to Mechanical Equipment:

1. This Contractor is cautioned to note carefully other sections of the Specification describing
electrical equipment to be furnished under these sections, in order that he may understand
the wiring requirements.

a. All power wiring for mechanical equipment shall be furnished and installed by electrical
equipment contractor to be furnished under these sections, in order that he may fully
understand the wiring requirements.

b. All control items connected shall be marked plainly by painted letters on the equipment
controlled, all to the approval of the Engineer.

c. The horsepower of all starters shall be checked against actual motors controlled before
installation and correct size overload elements shall be provided in all starters based on
nameplate and manufacturer's recommendations.

d. Electrical information provided in contract drawings related to mechanical equipment is

for bidding purposes only. Contractor shall verify all final characteristics with
Mechanical Contractor to ensure equipment compatibility.
