Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah, renowned academician, social reformer, reuted hilanthroist,

a famed literary fi!ure and "ufi thin#er from Ban!ladesh$
%& am 'ery hay to see that there are (uest for truth in your mind$ &n the resent a!e the
eole !enerally a'oid Allah, nobody wants to #now and thin# about Him$ )he thou!ht that
do not offer money is considered as a meanin!less thou!ht$ *any eole ha'e wealth, but
how many eole ha'e hainess in mind and in heart$ All are runnin! after income, all are
restless, busy for what+ ,obody wants Allah - says, what to do with such a troublesome
ob.ect$ &t only increases the restlessness of mind, interruts earnin! money, burns human
bein!s, increases the ain in the wounds$%

%/thers cannot be satisfied if the self is not for!otten$ )o !et the 0reat 1o'er one has to
sacrifice himself (or herself - in Ban!la on word refers both se2) in the lo'e fire$ As lon! as
the sense of self and me is there, one cannot !et the 0reat Friend$ 3ho !ot Him, he !ained
eternity, he could o'erloo# the maternal world, he could underemhasize the need for
name, fame, desire, honour$ &f you want to !et Him, de'ote yourself unto Him4 send day
and ni!ht to #now Him, ta#e shelter of truth, a'oid the false, bade farewell to ride, wash
imurity and dar#ness with tears, offer the whole heart to the 0reat 1o'er$ Kee yourself
satisfied with less food, less tal#, less slee$ Hel others, do not hurt anybody, thin# other
better (then you), learn from (those) who lost sense, share lo'e with others, ma#e all closer
to you4 then you will feel real .oy$%

%)hin# solitary, loo# at the stars in mid-ni!ht s#y and meditate about the mystery of the
creation of the 5reator$ "ee, in one moment the door of your heart would be oened, the
0reat )hin#er occuied the whole heart$ Always try to be with ablution$ 6o not soil
ablution with e'il thin#in! and e'il wor#s$ )a#e care of sacredness all time$%

%As much the dearness with Him is de'eloed, you would see sread of new blossoms and
scents in your heart$ ,e'er be on the side of untruth, do not hurt the minds of eole, feel
humble always, #ee ride away$ 5ontrol the e'il roensity, do not ray to show eole,
#ee the mind sacred - not the body only$%

%For!et the scholarly ride, thin# the illiterate as scholar, ne'er hurt the erson you !a'e
shelter, ta#e secial care of the oor, orhan, nei!hbor and relati'es$ Kee satisfied
whate'er you !et$ 5ontrol the ton!ue and remember Allah in each mouthful white eatin!,
remember Him in each breath and surrender to Him$%

%As lon! as there are weeds, until the soil is soft, sowin! would not yield$ Burn all weeds
one by one, uroot totally e'il thou!hts e'il desire from mind, then lit lo'e fire, then the
land would be ready$ 72tensi'ely till the land with lou!h of de'otion, wet it sayin! tear,
then you will see the heart soften and the e'ils and untruth !one$ Allah is the best teacher4
He is e'erywhere and in the hearts of e'erybody$ 3hen one feels restless and ea!erness for
Him, He can be seen$ "earch for Him li#e a sna#e who lost the ruby, then His #indness will
be a'ailable$%
