This is a sample of students work from a pre-test, the actual assignment, and a post-test.
The pre-test measured the students knowledge on the basic structure of the atom, as well
as the term isotope. This test was taken in the first marking period, so a Do Now activity
was done in the fourth marking period to ensure that the students could recall in the
information correctly. The assignment measured of students were able to correctly
remove M&Mium ions as they decayed from radioactive to no longer radioactive, and
then generate and interpret that information correctly in a graphic form. The post-test
measured if the students were able to correctly match the terms covered to their
definitions in the introductory sections to evolution. My goal was for 80 percent of
students to receive a grade of 85 or better on the post-test.
