In Austria, most universities are found in the
capital, Vienna. This city is situated on the top
right of the country. Also, it is easiest to travel to
Vienna, because a relatively big airport is situated
here.



How do you get there?
You can travel from the Netherlands to Austria in
different ways. The easiest way to go to Austria is
by airplane. However, you can also go by train.

Travelling to Austria (Vienna) is easiest by airplane. You will arrive at an airport called
Schwechat (Vienna) Airport. This airport is situated in the southeast of Vienna, close
to the A4 (Ost Autobahn).

Getting in the centre of Vienna will take 20 minutes by car, since it is 20 kilometer.

There are several airlines flying to Vienna:

Austrian
Swiss

You can get to the centre by public transport. This is one floor lower than the area you
arrive. Twice an hour a S-Bahn departs to Vienna. The prices are 4,20 for an adult
and 2,20 for a kid. This train will take 16 minutes.

You can also go by taxi, this will cost 30 euros in total. Taxis will be waiting in front of
the airport.

Travelling by train from the Netherlands to Austria with NS Hispeed. The minimum
amount is 105 euro for second class in a night train, called City Night Line. With ICE
you can travel to Vienna with a minimum of 116 euro. The night train has got 1 stop in
Munich.

buses and underground lines. You
can buy tickets at ticket machines
in almost every station. Purchasing
a ticket on board will increase the
price with 2,20 euro.

room is between approximately 220 Euro and 290 Euro. To share a double room you

already quite easy to follow for a Dutch person, because the languages are similar.
However, the news is also really easy to follow in English. This is because there are
English shows on tv like BBC, which is a native English show. The news is really easy to
