1. Background


Mining has potential of unstable condition. Swamp, waste dump, and pit which is not accordance on
design are prediction area. Based on climatology meteorology and geophysics agency (BMKG) data
that weather of J anuary predicted has high rainfall. For Kaltim area (sanga-sanga, tenggarong, and
moriss) indicated has 201-300 mm rainfall rate, and for Kalsel and central Kalimantan Area indicated
have 201-400 mm rainfall rate. As our knows that rains afford to increase the failure potential because
of increasing saturation in rock mass or waste dump.

2. Recommendation


There are some of recommendation to avoid incident or failure, are :
Increasing the visual of monitoring regularly
Need checking our EOM to assign the location which is not on design
maintance all locations which is not on the design like swamp and waste dump location
maintance the old perimeter ditch to ensure no water ponding location
need perimeter ditch construction if there are water ponding indicated
