‘www. watfordtownfe.netWelcome To Watford Town Youth FC
Our Club is affiliated to the Hertfordshire Football Association. The club strives to be a fair and
competitive and aims to provide football for all.
Our aim is to provide football coaching for boys and girls from the age of 5 upwards, regardless of ability,
creed, colour or ethnic background. We provide a number of opportunities for boys and girls to play
through our development academy or in one of youth squads.
We aim to keep a friendly, caring, family environment within the club and will not tolerate poor
behaviour, bad language or abuse in any form from players, parents, spectators, managers or club officials
whilst attending a WTYFC club fixture, training session or other function or event. We reserve the right
to remove the offender from site and to ban them from attending any WTYFC event in the future.
Watford Town Youth Football Club has been awarded the prestigious FA Chartered Standard Club
award. The award is recognition of the hard work carried out by the Coaches, managers, and
administration staff, who have worked very hard in order to better understand the safety needs of the
children in their care and to provide the safe environment in which they can enjoy themselves. The
most important benefit in having achieved Chartered Status is the reassurance to parents that their
children are playing for a club that the FA recognises as providing a safe, quality experience for its
members.
‘Asan FA Chartered Standard Club, Watford Town Youth F.C. has adopted the best practices set out by
FA policy for child safety. These guidelines cover first aid, safe play and emotional and physical
protection and a Child Protection Officer, and are all designed to protect young players within the club.
If you would like to take up coaching regularly one of squads, we will provide the opportunity (where
required) to attend an FA recognised course, equally we are always looking for new names for our
referees list and will arrange appropriate training where needed.
Watford Town Youth Football Club has always put the safety and welfare of all its members in the
forefront and has set down the codes of conducts in this handbook which clearly states what is and what is
not expected from those associated with this club.
