POSITION Technology Services Intern



DEPARTMENT Technology Services Division

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Position revolves around the development of a new software product from concept to
implementation
Assist the Development team throughout the process of the life cycle of the software in order
to gain knowledge and apply book knowledge to real world experience.
Gain knowledge in any or all of the following languages: C++, C#, J ava
Work with relational databases
Other duties, as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Completed two (2) years of college
Minimum grade point average of 2.5 on a 4-point scale
Experience with object-oriented programming and methodologies
Knowledge of relational databases, preferably MySQL
Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES

Adaptability, flexibility, and ability to work as part of a team or in an individual capacity
Ability to handle and maintain the integrity and confidentiality of highly sensitive material and
information
Communicate with coworkers, management, law-enforcement officials, and others in a
courteous and professional manner
Conform with and abide by all instructions, policies, regulations, and work procedures

SALARY

Although internships are unpaid positions, each intern will have the opportunity to acquire knowledge
and hands-on experience and will receive academic credit through an approved program at his/her
college or as a volunteer. Interns will be reimbursed for parking or public transportation expenses.

HOURS

The Technology Services Intern is required to work from NCMEC Headquarters a minimum of 35
hours per week, between 9:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M., Monday through Friday, during Fall, Spring, or
Summer semesters. Interns will be excused to attend internship program functions and for academic
holidays or vacations.
