Feedback Each participant received a personal letter from Bill that provided specific feedback to the work from Mondays session. II. Archeological Dig Bill asked everyone to recall and write down (without notes or help) the big ideas and key resources from Fridays session. fterward we considering how memory is more like an archeological dig than a file cabinet! we need to put together (construct) memory from shards " pieces that we can retrieve and then try to piece together. #e also considered the importance of students practicing recalling previous learning on an ongoing basis$ and the ways we can help learners develop tactics for encoding e%periences in ways that make them more easily to &dig up.' III. Todays Three Big Ideas Bill provoked the group with three sets of images and anecdotes. For each set of images and anecdotes$ each person identified the big idea$ described the big idea$ and created an image that represented the idea. Student Friendly Learning Targets and Scales #e compared two sets of learning scales (posted below) and compared them to determine which would work best for learners.
