Dear Entertainment Manager,

This letter is to introduce you to our band, Rock Solid. We are a 4 - piece
group that plays classic and contemporary Rock and Roll covers. We pride
ourselves on putting on a great show, and always make sure the audience
has a memorable time whenever they see us. While Rock Solid is a
relatively new band, we are made up of seasoned professionals with many
years experience playing in and around greater Indianapolis. We already
have a mailing list with hundreds of people, and do whatever we can to
promote ourselves at every club we play. We have a strong (and thirsty)
core following that shows and grows every time we gig. Please give our
demo CD a listen - it’s made up of short clips and is under 8 minutes total
- while you review the other materials about the band. We will follow up
with you in the coming weeks to discuss how we can help each other
become even more successful. In the meantime, feel free to call us with
any questions or comments you may have. Also, if you have any
immediate needs do not hesitate to contact us; we will always do our best
to accommodate our preferred venues.

Thank you for your interest,

Rock Solid
David Webb (Keyboards, Guitar, Backing Vocals) has been a professional musician for the
past 25 years. Prior to joining Rock Solid, David was the musical director and keyboard
player for the “Super 70’s Spectacular” which featured Grammy nominated artist Maxine
Nightingale (Right Back Where We Started From, Lead Me On), John Ford Coley (Really
Love To See You Tonight, Nights Are Forever Without You), Gallery ( It’s So Nice To Be
With You, I Believe In Music ), and The Bay City Rollers (Saturday Night). He also
performed with Rock-n -Roll Hall of Fame member Charlie Thomas of the Drifters, and Al
Wilson (Show and Tell ). As a soloist, David has played for countless corporate functions,
private parties, and weddings. For 17 years he was the organist and choir director for a
local church and was honored in 1998 as Master of Ceremonies for Brownsburg’s
Sesquicentennial.

John Schlenk (Drums, Percussion, Backing Vocals) has been involved in musical
performance for nearly his entire life. From an early age, John spent many hours honing
his skills on a variety of percussive instruments. John played professionally with
Indianapolis based bands Delaware Commons, Changez and Joe Bennett and Company. John
has also spent many long nights in recording sessions with local artists. After taking some
time off to teach and further develop his skills, John has rejoined the ranks of working
musicians by contributing the driving beat of Rock Solid’s foundation.

Steve Tarak (Bass Guitar, Lead Vocals) is originally from Detroit, Michigan. Steve began
his musical journey on the acoustic guitar, eventually picking up an old bass his father had
purchased. Steve began to write songs at 10 years old and continues today, having
released four independently produced CDs. Steve has played with many Indianapolis bands
including Chalynger, Volcanic Glass, Once a Child, Rider, and DrinkDeep. Steve also
provided bass for Gary Oliver, as well as fronted Anderson Battle of the Bands winner
“Aeon”, a Sunshine Artists favorite. Steve took the path of a solo artist for ten years,
writing, recording and producing original songs, as well as working in collaboration with
artists from Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States. Steve is also a skilled
sound reinforcement engineer, and has provided those services for many local musical
groups, dinner theatres and church productions.

Kevin Keathley (Lead Guitar, Vocals) is also from Detroit. Kevin has been playing guitar
for 25 years and is a highly regarded Rock and Blues Rock player. Kevin played
professionally for many years in the Detroit area in both cover and original bands including
IOU and Nitro. These bands enjoyed significant success and performed touring and opening
dates with national acts including Mitch Ryder, Johnny Winter, the Rockets and others.
Kevin’s many side projects and session work allowed him to work with band mates from
other national acts including Ted Nugent, Humble Pie, and Foghat. After moving to
Indianapolis 10 years ago, Kevin continues to collaborate with other musicians regionally
and has become a talented digital recording studio engineer. With the strong desire to play
live again, Kevin was fortunate to find talented players that shared the same vision in the
formation of Rock Solid.
