About I AM SAM Foundation. Where it all started. What I AM SAM Foundation believes in. Who is Rayla Melchor Santos. All questions answered by Rayla Melchor Santos.
Rayla Melchor Santos: S.A.M. stands for Shaker And Mover. A mover and shaker is defined as a person who makes things happen. This is the goal of IamSAM, to inspire women and children to be shakers and movers who make things happen for themselves, and for others - all in the best interest of self and humanity, to take full responsibility for their own evolution. Question: Where did all started? Rayla Melchor Santos: It all started with my hero, Merci Melchor. She is the first and original shaker and mover who made all things happen single-handedly and creatively as early as 2004 with her Merci Melchor Brochures for Battered Women, her worked continues to several local and international womens organization, and then SAM stood for Stop Abuse Mom. Question: Weve seen the tagline for I am SAM Foundation, I Am Special, Unique and Precious what is the story behind that? How did you come up with it? Rayla Melchor Santos: All credit goes to Momcie (Merci Melchor). She continually practices what she believes best for every child! And one day, she wrote to her grandchild Buffy, expressing how special, unique, and precious he is. It became the mantra and mission of I am SAM foundation for every child, woman, or person from then on. Question: Knowing where I am SAM Foundation started, in brief, what do you want to achieve on this legacy of being shaker and mover of this nation? Rayla Melchor Santos: We can sum it up with the firm mission I am SAM Foundation - to lead efforts in pursuit of uplifting women and children and to create life-changing awareness of their worth and rights as human beings through the IamSAM Prevent-to-Empower-Protocol (PEP). We vision a happy and empowered women and children who embrace their self- worth and free from fear and from any form of abuse.
"SELF-WORTH IS THE GREATEST TOOL WE CAN GIVE A CHILD." (SAM Rayla Melchor Santos)
