How do I join?
IFC and PHA participate in recruitment
o A week where Potential New Members (PNMs) get to know all of the
organizations and then narrow down where they would like to hold
membership
o To participate, pnms must register for recruitment on the Fraternity and
Sorority Life website
Once you have registered and are eligible to participate, pnms will
receive more information on arrival times, what to wear, and more.
Intake
NPHC and MGC participate in intake
o This goes back to their founding of having to be secret societies
on their campuses.
o Those interested in joining NPHC or MCG organizations will attend
educational forums, service events, and other activities that the
chapters host.
o Once the organization decides that they are going to take new
members the organization will host an informational
Note: This doesnt happen every semester or every year
o The next step is an interest meeting where they will receive an
application and learn about the specifics of the joining process
o If selected for membership they will start the intake or joining
process.
