Panhellenic Association (PHA) Chapters Alpha Delta Pi Kappa Kappa Gamma Alpha Omicron Pi Phi Mu Delta Phi Epsilon Zeta Tau Alpha Kappa Delta How do I join? IFC and PHA participate in recruitment o A week where Potential New Members (PNMs) get to know all of the organizations and then narrow down where they would like to hold membership o To participate, pnms must register for recruitment on the Fraternity and Sorority Life website Once you have registered and are eligible to participate, pnms will receive more information on arrival times, what to wear, and more. Intake NPHC and MGC participate in intake o This goes back to their founding of having to be secret societies on their campuses. o Those interested in joining NPHC or MCG organizations will attend educational forums, service events, and other activities that the chapters host. o Once the organization decides that they are going to take new members the organization will host an informational Note: This doesnt happen every semester or every year o The next step is an interest meeting where they will receive an application and learn about the specifics of the joining process o If selected for membership they will start the intake or joining process.
New Member/Intake Period Georgia Southern policy states that all New Member and Intake processes can only last 8 weeks during the semester. IFC and PHA commonly last the full 8 weeks MGC and NPHC commonly last 4-6 weeks Grade Requirements As Greeks we HIGHLY value academics and scholarship o Georgia Southern fraternity/sorority community 2.9774 o Non-affiliated students 2.7700 In order to join any organization as an incoming freshman you must have a 2.75 high school GPA as calculated by admissions This is your core GPA; not your HOPE GPA You can check your status on the admissions website
Grade Requirement (continued) The GPA requirement mainly impacts those who are interested in joining IFC or PHA Chapters
Those interested in NPHC or MGC have to have a minimum GPA of 2.5 based on 12-36 hours of college credit (depending on the organization)

Hazing Hazing is strictly prohibited by national organization, Georgia Southern Code of Conduct and State law. Through the education of our fraternity and sorority members we are working to eliminate the problem altogether We encourage anyone who feels that they are being hazed to talk to FSL or report it through the hazing hotline Important Dates to Remember IFC recruitment will be August 31 st - September 6 th
MGC will host events throughout the first couple of weeks of school in the fall NPHC will host a unity week September 27 th -October 3 rd
