personal, academic, and community leadership. Ive used my leadership skills to found a program
dedicated to helping underprivileged high school senior transiton into college. During my student
teaching experience, I have ofen recognized for my use of classroom management strategies and

I joined the 1st grade team where I was able to use my instructonal planning skills to spearhead the
development of a pacing guide, analyze student data, and create standard based assessments. I
maintained a positve relatonship with parents and addressed the varied needs of all students
which was evident in student growth data. I invested in my professional growth by taking multple
professional development courses.

I completed my Student Teaching experience at H.E. Holmes, a Title 1 elementary school in the Ful-
ton County School District. I was placed in a unique 1st grade classroom that was comprised of 98%
E.I.P. students, 2 ESOL students, 2 ADHD students, and 5 E.D. students. I helped students to meet
and/or exceed grade level expectatons for sight word recogniton. I was recognized for my efec-
tve use of classroom management strategies and my integraton of educatonal technologies.

I founded an organizaton, Campus Preparatory, designed to help high school seniors successfully
transiton into college by pairing partcipants with college mentor and building their background
knowledge. My responsibilites included developing the program curriculum, recruitng partcipants
and volunteers, training mentors, creatng lesson plans, mentoring partcipants, and teaching ac-
cording to curriculum. I currently run Campus Preparatory during the summer and weekends.
