DOCUMENTATION PORTFOLIO

The documentation portfolio can include
everything from brainstorming activities to
drafts to finished products.
The collection becomes meaningful when
specific items are selected out to focus on
particular goals.

PROCESS PORTFOLIO

It is useful in documenting pupils' overall
learning process.
It shows pupils progress in mastering
knowledge and skills.
It emphasizes students' reflection upon their
learning process.

SHOWCASE PORTFOLIO

It is best used for summative evaluation of
pupils' performance.
It shows pupils the best completed work.
It should include written analysis and
reflections from teachers and pupils.

"Portfolio provides the teacher and
students an opportunity to observe
students in a broader context: taking
risks, developing creative solutions,
and learning to make judgments
about their own performances."
