5.0 SUMMARY, CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION

INTRODUCTION
This chapter deals with the summary of this research, conclusion and
recommendation
5.1 SUMMARY
Reference service is essentially the process of assisting library patrons to
locate material that will provide needed information and providing factual
and reliable answers to the library users enquiries.
In this research, our focus is on the Role of Reference Service in Kaduna
State Library Board and our searchlight is fixated on the reference services
provided by the Kaduna State Library Board, the present situation of the
reference services, the ideal situation of reference service and the solution to
the problems.
This research was conducted with the aims of:
i. Finding out the present situation of reference service in Kaduna State
Library Board.
ii. Finding out the problems of reference service and determine the
missing links in the reference section of the library.
iii. To proffer the ideal situation in reference service as its obtainable in
the globe today.
