Non-Certified Teacher August 2013- Current
As the teacher of record for a life skills course, I made lesson plans, accommodations to assignments and
completed grade book. I assisted the Special Education department with behavioral and transitional
surveys and PLAAFS updates as needed. When assigned I attended brief ARDS in which to give input on
behavior and transitional accommodations the student potentially needed. I taught 6 classes a day and
managed classroom behaviors accordingly to the location and setting (Detention Treatment Facility).

Certified Instructional Assistant August 2012- August 2013
As a certified Instructional Assistant (IA) in 2012-2013 school year I worked along-side core subject of
Science. Responsibilities were to assist the teacher with content in regards to special education
students. From this, I was to update the contact log on a daily bases and assist in providing student
updates for needed time or current understanding of the material.

I completed 30 hours of in-class observation at JHW through observing fifth through seniors in a life
skills course.

Handled residents in a facility to assure the foundations established were followed and the safety of
