Great! Thanks, Shannon.

Do you know what I'm supposed to do next after I make all the changes recommended by the committee?
Do I create a final draft with track changes turned off and then send it to the PPPPC email address?

The policy is really directed towards the adult population. My vote is to keep the title generic. Shelly

Holly & Shelly;
Just wanted to clarify for Aurora; it is the recommendation of the APS and those reviewing the PCA policy
that that 'adult and pediatric' words in the title be removed--specifically since we do not treat pediatrics
and have removed all pediatric information from the policy. Adult may be removed as it's a 'given'.
The title should be changed to, simply, 'Patient Controlled Analgesia (PCA)'.

May we move forward formally on this?
thanks!

Hi, Shannon.

Yes, we DO want to remove the word Pediatric from the title. The instructions were to not change the title,
so I didn't want to take it out myself until I knew that had been approved. Actually, since we no longer
have pediatric information, maybe the title should just be Patient Controlled Analgesia (PCA) and not
include the word Adult, either?

Your summary looks great.

Thanks again, by the way, for all your help with this policy. I really think the reason it went so smoothly
through the Committee was the thorough review you and others helped to give.

HI Jennifer, Kerri & Aurora;
Firstly, great job on presenting some difficult policies! Ive done my best to capture the most significant
portions of your updates or changes for a TIPS sheet DRAFT for staff.however, please review and provide me
any feedback that you may want included for staff. Our goal is to be brief, yet really inform to the most
important clinical changes.

Specific questions I still have:
Kerriwhat does CRS acronym stand for? You may want to include the full name, then (acronym) following in
the policy.OR, did I miss it?
Aurorait appears that we have removed pediatric dosages and practice recommendations. Yet, the name
Pediatric remains in the policy title? Are we removing the word Pediatric from the title? Removal seems to be
the recommendations from APS throughout, but wanted to be sure.

Again, thanks for your timely feedback so I may prepare the most accurate TIPS document for our staff!
