This article offered a lot of insight teaching Science to E""s# Science learning for all students is
ver$ i%portant# When teaching in an E"" included classroo% it is i%portant to reach all students#
&sing hands on activities gives students a %ore visual loo at a standard that is targeted in Science#
&sing the A'ST( science in %$ classroo% ( get to utili)e the hands-on approach to active learning#
The wa$ in which we have to assess learners has to change as well# We as educators have to change
the wa$ we assess our students# *o longer is +ust taing a test the onl$ valid wa$ to assess our
students# We have to differentiate our assess%ents in wa$s that students can de%onstrate their
nowledge# As a teacher, %$ goal this $ear is to differentiate %$ assess%ents# B$ doing %ore hands-
on activities, ( feel that not onl$ will ( -e a -etter teacher of Science, -ut %$ students will learn and
retain %ore nowledge a-out Science#

ELLs have in the traditional #ath classroom" answers 6uestions that regular classroom teachers have
when teaching ELLs #ath" and gives suggestions on wa$s to teach ELLs% Some of the suggestions li!e
using sentence stems is something that I would li!e to use this ne=t $ear in m$ own classroom% Overall I
found this to 9e a great article%
