/ltimately I )ould like to become a hi'h school physics teacher so I feel that my study
areas )ork nicely )ith each other+ I ha(e se(eral physics classes that I ha(e already taken
)hich )ill enrich the content I can teach* and )ith the strate'ies I learn from education
classes* I can successfully implement effecti(e and informati(e lessons+ The psycholo'y
minor helps in the sense that I can understand ho) people think and )hat their
moti(ations are* thus allo)in' me to tailor specific lessons for students+ So many teachers
out there lack the in&depth kno)led'e of sub?ects* )hile some teachers ha(e too much
kno)led'e but not enou'h teachin' skills to implement it+ My interdisciplinary plan
)orks to tackle that issue+
Since I had to mo(e out of $lorida* location )as the bi''est moti(ation for )hy I chose
classes online+ I also chose to take substitute teachin' classes because althou'h I )ant to
be a teach e(entually* my non&traditional de'ree makes it more difficult to obtain a
license to teach+ I think that if I ha(e the skills to substitute and 'et a ?ob substitutin'* I
)ill be better 0ualified to 'et a license to teach full time once I ha(e had enou'h
classroom experience+
