Sometimes photos of Beaver Scouts, Cub Scouts and Scouts taking part in activities or
events are submitted to the local newspapers, the Group, District or County newsletters
and website or put on display.
Before we can use a picture of your son/daughter the Scout Association recommend
that we seek permission from parents or guardians before any images of their children
are used.
The guidelines from the Scout Association regarding the use of images suggest
1. Images should be suitable as per child protection guidelines and in good taste.
2. Young people should not be easily identified (this means)
a. In group photos names should not match the order of persons in the
photo.
b. Minimal personal details should be presented with the image
c. Full names are not used, i.e. Fred is acceptable but Fred Bloggs is not.
3. Parents or guardians can request any or all images of their children be
withdrawn at any time and this must be complied with as quickly as practically
possible.
