JIKYO JUTSU BY GISELLE DEMELCHIORE

Jikyo-jutsu is one of the earliest types of exercise developed in

Japan, and seems to incorporate a little bit of gymnastics, aerobics, and yoga. It was started by Mr. Nakai
Fusagoroh in 1916 and consists of 31 separate exercises.

Jikyo-jutsu is quite popular in Japan right now, especially since the idea of using Jikyo-jutsu to prevent or
cure diseases was established by Dr. Kondoh Yoshiroh, a lecturer in pathology at the medical department
of Tokyo University.More specifically, Jikyo-jutsu is effective in preventing and curing the following
conditions:
Arteriosclerosis of the heart and brain
Hypertension
Chronic articular rheumatism
Traffic accident injuries
Headache
Sleeplessness
Spinal curvature
Asthma
Heart palpitation
Gastro enteritis
Ulcers (stomach and duodenum)
Haemorrhoids
Hepatitis (inflammation of the liver)
The great thing about jikyo jutsu is that everyone can do it, no matter how old or how often you are used
to exercising. I definitely recommended!

Giselle Demelchiore: I ve been practicing and teaching Aikido and weapons for 23 years; practicing Iai
(Japanese traditional sword) for 10 years and some years of Kendo (Japanese traditional sword combat).
I had some years of dance (Leader Technique) studies and more than 10 years of circus training and
performing (juggling, aerial, acrobacy). I've been in India Twice studying Kathakali (traditional dance
theatre form) and Kallarypayattu (martial art from Kerala). I was taught Jikyo jutsu 20 years ago by a
Japanese aikido master and have been practicing every day since three years.
