Each group will be given a scenario about a teachers social media
comments. Acting in the role of an (admin/teacher/parent/etc),
you will determine what, if any, disciplinary action should be
administered. Write your answers in the space below.

You Decide
Ms. Jones, a 6
th
grade teacher that is in her second year of
teaching, posted on Facebook and Twitter that her students
are stinky, disgusting, morons that will never amount to
much. A parent of one of her students saw both posts and
called the principal (you) demanding disciplinary action. What
do you do?

Group #1 Scenario
Ms. Smith, a young high school Math teacher, went with some
of her friends to Florida over spring break. While there, she
entered a best body contest. One of her friends took some
pictures and posted them on her Facebook page. A student in
her class saw it and spread it around the HS. You are the
principal and found out about it. What do you do?
