That directors use a wide range of visual and language techniques to develop characters and ideas in film. Learning Intentions Be able to identify verbal and visual techniques used in selected scenes from a film and recognise their purpose and effects. To understand the term ideas and be able to describe/explain how films express ideas about issues and make us think about important ideas. To identify and show understanding of how character and ideas are developed in a film and discuss them orally and in writing. Success Criteria Identify film techniques which the director has used to create and develop a character. Identify important changes in a character and provide examples.
