Preparedness Participation Punctuality Practice
Definition The ability to create an efficient system that allows you to manage materials and be prepared for learning. The ability to engage in required classroom tasks such as group work, class discussion, or individual practice The ability to follow a schedule and meet deadlines. The ability to recognize, record, and organize important information or apply skills from classroom lecture/ outside readings 100 Student meets expectations with all materials organized in a clear, consistent, and accessible manner Student participates authentically with little to no redirection Student meets punctuality requirement or even exceeds ahead of schedule
Student completes required reading/note- taking in correct format with essential terms and concepts clearly identified
Student completes all problems with work shown 85 Student almost meets expectation but is missing a few required elements. Student participation requires redirection to stay focused but meets minimal expectation of task or objective Student comes close to meeting punctuality expectation. Finishing up, but not ready when work is collected
Student completes reading/note-taking, but requires assistance/clarification with format, essential terms, or concepts
Student completes most problems with work shown 70 Student partially meets expectation with teacher assistance. Multiple materials missing, inaccessible, or not in order interrupting ease of use for studying, retrieval, etc.
Student participation is uneven or unfocused, shows partial mastery of task or objective, and requires redirection multiple times. Student, after teacher prompting, is able to meet punctuality expectation by turning in work by end of the school day in tutorials.
Student reading/note- taking is incomplete, incorrectly formatted, and missing a significant number of essential terms and concepts
Student completes over half of the problems with work shown 50 Student does not meet expectation even with teacher prompting Student does not participate effectively even with frequent redirection. Disrupts the learning environment for others.
Student, after teacher prompting, is able to meet punctuality expectation by turning in work during tutorials before the next class period.
Student reading/note- taking is absent or fragmentary at best even with teacher assistance and prompting
Student completes a few of the problems with work shown or has shown just answers for the problems 0 Student refuses to comply with expectations even after repeated remediation and interventions. Habitual performance in this range requires parent and administrative notification. Administrative consequences may be necessary in addition to classroom consequences.
