Audience review

In our general questionnaire we found that the majority of people we asked were either
heterosexual or claimed to be heterosexual, although there were a variety of other sexualities.
Eighteen people claimed to know someone who was homosexual this shows that gay people in
society tend to be less afraid of sharing their sexuality with friends and family.
There were still a high percentage of people that had suffered or knew someone who had suffered
homophobic abuse; this shows that there is still a lot of stigma in society towards homosexuals.
Overall the questionnaire results have shown that although there are far more people comfortable
to talk about topics such as homosexuality there is still issues that need to be addresses such as
abuse and stigma in society.

In our pre- documentary it can be seen that people expect all aspects to be included in our
documentary. We now know to include; video interviews, cutaways of relevant places, sound
interviews and facts and figures.
The majority thought our topic was relevant to modern day society. Although younger
heterosexual males thought there topic was irrelevant. We took this in to account and decided
that this fact can be overlooked as enough people stated they would like to watch documentary
on this topic.
We also asked what types of people the general public thought would be able to give both factual
information and interesting opinions and found that it was expected that the interviewees should
be relevant to the chosen topic and there should also be a influential member of society included
in our documentary.
