Moses Story-Reflection

We all know that Moses is foreshadowing of Jesus, this is a good opportunity to
understand why. God brought to the Israelites real freedom from slavery, real food to
survive the harshness of desert life, the real and a fruitful land to rest and live in peace
and unity. Thru Jesus, god brought to us exactly the same things but this time for
everlasting freedom, everlasting survival, and everlasting life.
Our mother care and love us so much, they do everything for our good and they
are willing to take all the sacrifice just to make her daughter/son in good condition.
Thats why Mother Jochebed saved the life of Moses to the soldier.
I know that my mother is always there in me in times of problems and trials, she
is always tells me what to do. My mother is my sister, my best friend and my adviser. She
is always with me even if we are to far from each other when I started to work to support
their needs. After I graduated in high school, I went from the other country to find work
in order to support my family. I have no fear because I know god is always there to guide
me. Moses said to his people, they may be deprived of everything but one thing did not
get from you, your faith from god. In that sentence I feel better or I feel much stronger
because Moses is right. In my life I know that everything will be fine, I know that I have
more trials to come than the pass. But I know I can make it, trust in the lord our god. I
may be deprived of everything on earth except my faith which remain intact and stronger
everyday of living for eternal salvation.
At this time in our lives, it is particularly important to us, because it is critical for
our survival. Thru the sacraments of baptism and reconciliation we remain free from the
slavery of the devil, and thru the sacrament of the Eucharist we nurture our spirit to stay
alive while going on this journey to our Promised Land.
For this reason, we must know, not only Moses story, but also his actions,
accomplishments, personality, feelings, his sufferings, the reverence in his relationship
with God, and the way in which God over flowed Moses with his love.
