ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT OF POLYTECHNIC
TUANKU SULTANAH BAHIYAH






INTRODUCTION :

The report has been written as a requirement to complete a mini project survey for
Communication English 3 (AE501) course. This report was requested by Puan Nurul Huda, English
lecturer of Communicative English 3 (AE501). The title of this survey is to find out about facilities and
service provided at Civil Engineering department of Polytechnic Tuanku Sultanah Bahiyah. The
objectives of this mini project are to survey the opinion among the Civil Engineering Department
students of Polytechnic Tuanku Sultanah Bahiyah and the recommendations to overcome the
problem. The methodology used to collect the data was through a questionnaire survey. The
questionnaires were distributed to a total 100 students, consisting of semester 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 in
Civil Engineering Department.
OBJECTIVES :

a) To determine whether the students are satisfied with the condition of classroom.

b) To investigate whether the students feel comfortable and concentrated with their
learning in the classroom.

c) To find out new suggestions for the improvements of classroom at Seberang Perai
Polytechnic for each departments.





Gender:


Based on the pie chart below, it can be seen that 53% of respondent are comprised of
female, while 47% of respondent are male. All the respondents are from semester 1 to semester 6
from Civil Engineering Department in PTSB. Over a half of the pie chart was female and less than a
half was male.
