Sometimes, Plaxis will give an error message and stop in one of the calculation phases, even

though the safety factor is very high. This is due to the default Iteration settings in Plaxis. For
details see section 5.7. of the Plaxis !" #eference manual.
To change setting clic$ on the %Parameters& ta', select %Manual settings&, and clic$ the
%Define& 'utton.
The %(anual Settings& screen will appear as shown 'elow.
)hange the %Over-relaxation& value to 1.000 *from the default value of .!++,- Then deactivate
(switch off) the %Arc-length control& *i.e. remove the tic$ in the 'ox, and clic$ the ./ 'utton.
