AFC ( Ayam Fried Chicken )
Ayam Fried Chicken ( AFC ) is a food cart located in front of Indomaret cisitu. The
owner is Mr. Muhbidin but for manage the cart there is his brother, Mr. Edwin. AFC found
since 2007. Mr. Edwin make his own secret receipt for cooking the food. He sells fried
chicken, rice, and French fries. The revenue is around IDR 1 2,5 million per day. Why he
choose the location in front of indomaret cisitu, because he thinks that the location is strategic
and near the college students flat. So, his cart will easily seen by people and interest to buy
the food. He rarely join the bazaar and join some events. He rarely make a promotion like
buy 1 get 1 or anything else. The advantage of the product here is the quality, reasonable
prices, more tasty, and using fresh chicken ( Mr. Edwin slaughters the chicken by himself ).
The customer is a college student or people around there with low budget. He treats the
costumer by smiling and greeting kindly. He has 1 branch located in cisitu areas too. For
further plan, he wanna makes new menu, he wanna sells fried tofu with different taste and
crispy mushroom. He wanna make a store like Mc Donald and make a bigger store, just not a
cart.
Opportunity-based Business
Siete Caf
Siete caf is a garden concept caf located in sumur bandung street. Founded by 7
peoples since 2012, siete instantly getting popular among the teenager in Bandung mainly for
collage student or senior-junior high school student with middle-up budget. As the
information before, the target costumer is a teenager of collage student with middle-up
budget. The adventages is siete has strategic location, reasonable price, cozy place for hang
out, good facility, delicious dishes, and various menu. The revenue of siete is around IDR
350 millions per month. The strategic location make siete instantly popular because siete near
the ITB campus, in Dago area, and easily reach by transportation. Siete sells western and
asian menu and some of freshy beverage. For further planning, siete gonna open new branch
in riau street and offer Spanish dishes.
Difference
The main different between siete and afc is from the revenue, siete earns IDR 350 millions
per month, bigger than afc just earns IDR 70 millions per months. Both of the location is
strategic, but for the place is totally different. Siete has a cozy place to hang out and enjoy the
dishes there but afc just a cart so we cannot enjoy the food there and just take a way. For the
target costumer, siete target a teenager and college student with middle-up budget but afc
target the low-budget costumer. As I see, the hygiene side is different too. Siete more hygiene
than afc. For the further planning, both siete and afc have the same planning to develop the
business by make a store or new branch and offer new menu.
